Melanie Abrams’ first novel, Playing, is forthcoming from Grove/Atlantic in Spring 2008, and has already been acquired for translation in three different languages. She received her M.F.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She currently teaches creative writing at U.C. Berkeley.
