Anita Amirrezvani, author of The Blood of Flowers, was born in Tehran and lives in Northern California, where she is pursuing an M.F.A. in fiction at San Francisco State University. She has received fellowships from the National Arts Journalism Program, the N.E.A.’s Arts Journalism Institute for Dance, and the Hedgebrook Foundation.
