Jorge Argueta is a celebrated Salvadoran poet and writer who immigrated to the United States at age 19 to escape the violent conflict raging in his homeland. His work appears in many anthologies, and he has written several award-winning children’s books. His latest, Moony Lun /Luna, Lunita Lunera, received the 2005 National Parenting Publications Gold Medal.
