Terry Beers, a member of the English department at Santa Clara University, is the general editor of the California Legacy Series, co-published by SCU and Heyday Books, and host of Your California Legacy radio anthology, produced at KAZU Public Radio. He lives in north Monterey County, where he trains sled dogs.
