Michael Chorost is the author of Rebuilt: My Journey Back to the Hearing World (Mariner, 2006). The book was awarded the 2006 PEN/USA Award for Creative Nonfiction. Dr. Chorost teaches at the University of San Francisco and is currently writing a pilot for a PBS science series.
