Sara Houghteling’s novel The Gallery of Lost Paintings will be published by Knopf in 2008. She researched its topic, Nazi art theft, while a Fulbright Scholar in Paris. She is a former John Steinbeck Fellow at San Jose State and graduated from Harvard in 1999.
