Don Hanlon Johnson is the author of the recently published Everyday Hopes, Utopian Dreams: Reflections on American Ideals and three earlier works and is the editor of three collections. He weaves together personal narrative, studies of body practices in various cultures, and social commentary. He is a professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
