Laurie R. King

Laurie R. King is the New York Times bestselling author of 25 novels and other works, including the Mary Russell-Sherlock Holmes stories (from The Beekeeper’s Apprentice, named one of the 20th century’s best crime novels by the IMBA, to 2016’s The Murder of Mary Russell). King has won Edgar, Creasey, Nero, Macavity and Lambda Awards; her nominations also include the Agatha, the Orange and the Barry. She was Guest of Honor for the 2001 Left Coast Crime, was named 2006 Artist of the Year in Santa Cruz County, and was the Guest of Honor at the 2010 BoucherCon and the 2013 Malice Domestic Convention. She is probably the only writer to have acquired both an Edgar and an honorary doctorate in theology.
