Alejandro Murguia is a two-time winner of the American Book Award for his short story collections Southern Front and This War Called Love. His book of nonfiction, The Medicine of Memory, tied for first place memoir in the Latino Family Book Fair. He is professor in Raza Studies at San Francisco State University.
