Kaya Oakes’ book Telegraph received the Transcontinental Poetry Prize from Pavement Saw Press. Her poems have appeared in Volt, Conduit, Parthenon West Review, and elsewhere. She’s received awards from the Academy of American Poets, the Mellon Foundation, and the Bay Area Writing Project. She teaches writing at U.C. Berkeley.
