Cara Black—The Villain: Architect of Noir

Readers might love the protagonists of thrillers, mysteries and crime fiction, but if you really want to make a novel sing, you need to create a fabulously memorable antagonist.

So says Cara Black, the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of 14 books in the private investigator Aimée Leduc series, which is set in Paris. Her next book, Murder on the Quai, is set for a June release. She’ll teach the best ways of developing indelible bad guys (and gals) and explore why we need a character we love to hate.

The seminar will conclude with a wine reception with the author.
