Chaos, Cacophony, “Bob” and Sublime Stupidity

From the romantic poets of the teens to the chianti-swilling Beats, the later hippies and punks, and on into the machine art, Culture Jamming, and neo-pagan spasms of the ‘80s and ‘90s to the internet galaxy still unfolding before our eyes, San Francisco has been awash in careening, carousing creativity. The Cacophony Society, Church of the Subgenius, and the annual St. Stupid Day Parade are just a few of the strange cabals that have flourished here. Hosted by artist/clown/performer Spy Emerson.
