Romeo and Juliet: Dropped Into the ’70s

Co-presented by the African-American Shakespeare Company

Do you remember your first sight, touch, and kiss? Your first dance? William Shakespeare’s iconic story of love, passion, and teenage innocence gets dropped into the 1970s, featuring two teenagers in the roles of the star-crossed young lovers, with an era-appropriate soundtrack of funk and jive-talkin’ supplying the rhythm.

A vivid addition to Litquake’s Teenquake programming, this special low-priced preview is offered in advance of the show’s opening, and is directed by the AASC’s Executive Director Sherri Young and Artistic Director L. Peter Callender.
