Gail Tsukiyama—The Lesser Angel: Fictional Time and Place

Sorry—this class has been cancelled.

Does where we live define who we are? Absolutely! As Eudora Welty said, “Place is one of the lesser angels that watch over the racing hand of fiction.” According to Gail Tsukiyama, author of numerous New York Times bestselling historical novels (The Samurai’s Garden, Women of the Silk), creating a strong sense of time and place provides the spiritual foundation essential to how your characters see the world. Time and place work to enrich your story, while providing a home in which your characters live and breathe.

Classes are limited to just 15 students, lasts for three hours, and concludes with a reception for the author.

For each Master Class Mixer, we reserve the right to cancel at any time and issue a full refund or credit to a later class. If you are unable to attend your class, please email info@litquake.org at least seven days prior to receive a refund or credit, minus a $25 service charge.
