Author and journalist Daniel Alarcón’s latest project is the Spanish language podcast Radio Ambulante, presenting a live episode at Litquake October 9 at the Mission Cultural Center. Here, he responds to the Litquake Interview.

- Consistency is not important.

- 26, I think.

- Purple.

- Ampersand. I’ve never used it.

- On a computer, whenever and wherever I can.
- 8. What is your greatest fear when you first turn in a manuscript?
- That it sucks.
- 9. In what era do you wish you’d been born?
- I have no problem with this one.
- 10. Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
- “As if in a dream.”
- 11. Which talent would you most like to have?
- The talents a writer doesn’t have are those things that define your style.
- 12. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
- Tossing out a complete draft of a novel and starting over.
